Skip16503 steely34 Best time I ever had was a few years back when I shared the morning with Deetz, Bings, and Papinner. They shared with me some new water - didn't catch many but it created a great memory. Many thanks. Even tried some new gear that day. Had days in the chutes with close to 100 hookups, always lost more than I landed though due to fast water. I remember one day I blew through a box of two of flies.

One of the amigos here just seent this and I promise this is the truth, NO LIES... Steely34 tried out papinners pinning outfit , he showed Tom what to do and how to do it. Didnt take long for Tom to get it ( although it wasnt pretty to watch ) . Anyways his 2 -3 drift through the hole , I think the other 3 of us said at the same time , " Are you gonna set the hook on that fish or not ? " I dont think this was way out of proportion at all. Since Ill never forget that day , I remember it like it was yesterday.

spoonchucker Couldn"t agree more spoon, nothing better then knowing that "I just got a perfect drift with my sack now which fish is gonna hit" is the awesome. Also when you just have that color or bait that no one else has caught on to and your just plucking them like candy
"I get bored after 10 or so and move."
I hear ya. The occasional "perfect" day where your numbers are only limited by the number of eggsacs or r"right" fly you have with you. Or the amount of time landing, or waiting for someone else to land ech fish can be fun. After a while it becomes mundane though ( usually takes me more than 10 ). Then it's time to move on, or start experimenting to see what else you can get them to hit.
How many I'm not sure. But I've had day on the lower end of the cascade hole where fresh fish were contantly moving through. That literally 8 of 10 casts resulted in a fish, and the number of sacs in your container was the number of fish you caught.

I would also have to say about 1000 in one cast, that's the number of shiners I get with my drop net in the spring

Deetz and Bings - as far as your comments............. But Skip and MO - I still wouldn't believe them.

Last year at 20 mile in Late October. Stayed in the same spot for about 8 hours and just caught fish, after fish, after fish. Best part about it was, none of the other 50 people fishing besides us caught anything. All day.
