gotta be Young GurOO.
he has most of us using "guru speak" now ...duud.
I like all the guys here and I'm fortunate to know a few well enough to call friends
truth is though, Guru is still one of my all time favorite posters .
I know he irks some of the "hi-blood pressure" types
But the duud has always tickled the chit out of me

Terry had away of expressing his love of steelhead fishing, the outdoors, his wife and his friends that always brought a smile to all.

Im sorry but I cant pinpoint any single one person out. I have seen and learned a lot from many different board members here. I have made many friends as well from this forum. Id like to think that I may have helped others here as well. So with that being said Id just like to thank FishUSA for allowing me to be a part of this. And Thanks to all of you that have allowed me to be a small part in their lives.

I think there are a couple people that have affected this board more than others, but in the end this is a community and the members live and die by their own actions. Several people that have had a large affect on the board in my opinion would be Rapala, Skip, MikeG, Bughawk, and the crip come to mind fairly quickly but in no specific order. I call many of the people here my friends and have fished with many people. This board has had a large affect on my life and I am very thankful for the friends that I have met due to this board. It is very hard to find people my age that have the same interests and passion that I have for this sport. Some of the best times I have had are directly related to people on this board. This thread is the perfect opportunity for me to say thanks to all of you DuuDs.

Agreed...I've been around here longer than most and I've met some great guys... I even have a kinship with many on this site that I've never met. I'm more of an open water/offshore/inland lake/icefisherman kind of guy and haven't met a lot of the stream/steelhead guys, but I can tell most of these guys would be fun to hang with. In fact, even most of the guys that I vehemently disagree with on our world views seem like the kind of guys I'd like to share a few beers or wet a line with.
I really don't know who's influenced this board the most because I think that's subjective based on what you're looking for here. But many on here have influenced me.

I've been helped by so many of you it is crazy. DT, KJH, and Steely taught me how to tie flies and learn to Flyfish. Mika you carry the torch for all the veterans out there. Rich(glad to see you back) I swear your heart is as big as they get. Skip you helped me learn to build rods and show how selfless one can be when hekping our disabled heros. And there are many others here who I have got to share a drift with and many more I would like to. Thank you to you all... Although I do miss PeacyMike and Guru.....

For me the best I've met and got to know Mika,DT,Bings,Rap/coldfront,Skip,Rookie,Dreamcatcher,WF,Jokerball.....WOW to many to list.I'll just say that this group of people are awesome and I'm proud to call those that I know Friends.

Influencing the board the most would be difficult to answer as it's too broad of a question. Even with different categories, Humor, Helpful, Giving, Polite etc... it's still difficult to answer. As others have posted, there have been so many that would be good candidates and many all around good people on this board.

Some other boards have Poster of the Year POTY contests. With the diversity and depth of talent around here y'all could have an overall 'best', but also categories according to geo area (Erie) or tech area (Steelhead)?
Just a thought.
I always thought PGH Marty responded with quality info. Bings posted great pictures. So many othe posters are great but I don't know their screen names off the top of my head.

I think each poster brings his own positive influence to the board. There is a pretty good mix here. A lot goes on in the PM's also that I am thankful for.

For me - there has not been one single person who I feel has influenced the board the most. I have met some truly great people here on this board - all of which I can call lifelong friends. And I thank each and every one of you for the times we have shared. You've given me many good memories and I look forward to the times we will share in the future.

Never in a million years would I have expected to find the friendship, kindness, and generosity that I have found on this board. Most internet forums are full of faceless screen names, and people treat you like you are stupid. The people on this forum are among the kindest people that I have met. I feel blessed to have made so many friends here. Thank you guys for everything.

hard to pick just one so I'll pick two, for totally different reasons. Crip & OxyBob. both very unique characters. Skip gets a special nod for all he has done to help others. good job buddy.
I have had the pleasure to meet and/or fish with some of the board members here, mostly some of the "old timers" like Ironhed, Don Matthews, CR500, Spoon, etc. I enjoyed their company very much and look forward to meeting more of you guys/ladies. as Genie would say "LTA"
