Maxwell Lock Help ????
I took a drive on the new section of rte. 43 today. It has made a big difference in time and travel, just $1.60 each way. For years I have fished the Maxwell Pool but from a boat. You may know that the danger buoys are placed far away from the actual lock so there is no way to get up in there with a boat. My question is and not many would give up the info is: How do you walk to get to the lock wall ? I know it's possible because I see people fishing off it all the time. The new highway is very close to there and Fredericktown. If someone would please lead me in the right way to get there I would much appreciate it. I'm not trying to burn no ones spot, there are a lot of people who fish there so it not too big of a secret. PM me if you like it not to be seen, I would gladly take anyone with me who would help.
