Just give me an idea

Just looking for around about value of this boat.  I was offered a trade for a quad I have and some cash but I want an idea of what I could get out of the boat if I were to decide to sell it.  It is a 1988 Penn Yan 21'.  Guy says it has a new impeller, new lower seals, new marine radio, new GPS/fish finder, porta potty, bimini top, etc.

Any boat is only worth what someone is willing to pay when you want to sell and a lot depends on condition. But, I'd guess somewhere between $2K and $8K...

Thank you for the link.  I tried to look on there and couldn't find Penn Yan listed under the manufacturers.  I see on craigslist and boattrader.com they are "asking" much more than what NADA says.  Just wondering what the consensus was on these boats.  Thanks again and thanks to anyone else that could give a little closer idea as to what these are worth.

I think they're decent boats, just not real popular on Erie for some reason. Try sending a pm to Bluntman I seem to remember him being partial to Penn Yan...

I haven't seen Bluntman around in the last year or so.  He sure knew his stuff when it came to pretty much anything mechanical or stuctural on glass boats.  I kinda like those older Penns too.

I would go with somewhere between $4k and $6k for this one.
However there are lot of things forming the final price and some details can't be  seen with one picture.
You can post more pictures and get better and more accurate help with your boat pricing.
