Paylake Help for 84 or Paradise Lakes

Hi guys.  Im new to this whole paylake thing.  I love carp fishing and want to get into it more.  I've fished them a few times here and there and have picked up on a few fish but nothing that would come close to winning any money.  I have a general idea about what types of grains, oats, cornmeals, and etc to use.  Im not asking for anyones secret recipe but I am asking what flavors work good in the fall time in a paylake?  Does pack baits still work good in the fall or should you lean more towards a solid type of dough ball? Thanks for any help!

2 pieces of bread (no crust)
    blackstrap molasses
    vanilla extract

put a tbs of molasses on the bread and knead until there is no white left. It should not be crumbly, but not real sticky either. If crumbly and won't make a ball, add a little more molasses. If too sticky, add more bread. It should make a ball, but barely. Next, fill the cap of a bottle of vanilla extract. Make a hole in the doughball with your thumb. Dump the vanilla in the hole. Knead well. Resulting doughball should be kinda sticky, but makes a nice, firm ball. Go fishing.
