Once the word is out ...........

Does anyone want to join me in sitting in a camp chair up and away from the waters edge with a few cases of beer and watch the wall monkeys at walnut have at it. I think a few good videos will be shot and maybe quite a few pics to post here (on another thread) maybe call it " Let The Beatings Begin."  Ive gotten away from the " combat fishing " seen for some time now. Maybe go have a few good laughs with a few good buddies and a few cold brews and watch it all play out.

I'm up for some wall watchin.

I was actually going to reply that I was looking forward to flossing a few and pretending that I hooked them all legal like.  But sitting on the wall with a few brews sounds better.

Place your bets on me. I'll be in the thick of it with my camo waders, flouro-orange hunting jacket, and 6ft yellow rope. I will be a menace to all that mess with my fishing spot. You see, I have been learning the ways of the grasshopper. I have mastered the jig as a weapon and am now learning the complexity of the Little Cleo. Slick is my mentor... LOL!

I dont care about the crowds, or the yella ropes, or the prenes in sept or anything else....I LOVE ERIE STEEL!!!!  I can't wait for this season!!!
I am planning to make 1-2 trips a month (hoping for more if i work in the area), catch and release most, keep a few.  I love bringing a big one home and the kids all oooing and ahhing over it, cooking it up, then sitting down to a good meal together.  Yes i know fish consumption advisory-just once in awhile we eatum.
I look forward to catching more along the lakefront.  My first experience with that was last year and it was fun!  Blue powerbait-preferably used-will do the trick (thanks Tim and Adam).  I can't wait to hear the reel scream, the water explode and the fight ensue.  Yeahh!!!!

I'm headed to Canuckistan to be the annoying foreigner who doesn't know $#*! about stream etiquette.

We could anchor a boat right in the channel and cast rooster tails in all directions.

This is something I could see dragging The Mate out to do... sitting around with some brews and pretending like I have a clue about fishing for Steel. (For the record, I totally haven't any clues - I just pretend I can fish.)

We're gonna need a bigger rope.

What are you planning for this Steelhead season?

to beat up  some poor fish  trapped in bathtubs

To actually "fish" the times there's enough water to not  be able to count the hooks stuck  on their backs

In the late morning/early afternoon while breaking from the "first rnd" of fishing at my spots of choice , to drive to the circus at Da'Nut to  take a peak and count fish .....and if there's a spot I see and like with a couple fish i can  harass, I might walk down and join the circus

Check out a few more "easy access" spots to have a look.
maybe get a line wet, maybe not

Refuse to let any cueballs on crick  harsh my mellow .....and simply  enjoy the day whether 30 fish were dumb enough to bite my junk or i leave with skUnk smell and stories of the "one that got away" ....it'll all be good

matter of fact, I'm thinking of  taking a ride up there RIGHT NOW
but i smell bacon cooking .....so I might end up eating a whole pound,  a half dozen eggs and 4 or 5 slices of rye toast with LOTS butter for lunch
(REAL butter, not that margarine crAp)
I might need a nap after all that ...and prob'ly  not make it up today....hoo-nose
