Float fishing outfit in TV comercial ?

Noticed an ad today from some drug on TV where the father talked about missing fishing with his family on a favorite stream because of medical problems.  After seeing him spin the reel during the ad it looked like they were fishing with a pair of Pin outfits.  Was I seeing things if anyone else noticed the ad?

    Saw it. If you pay attention towards end of commercial, They casting like a flyrod. VERY HUMOROUS

    They have centerpin reels. If you watch carefully. They have fly line on them when the guy attempts to cast it like a regular casting rod. Very funny if you know what you are looking at. But the truth is that, millions of people see this with no idea what's really there.

    Then thread the float onto the line, through the eye in the bottom of the float. Select two medium sized sinkers [split shot], put one either side of the float, with the float about 18 inches (45 cm) up the line. The sinkers should have a slit cut into them.
