Fished wilhelm tonight

Well, wife & I fished Wlihelm tonight....I worked all day yesterday putting a GPS unit on my boat,so figured I'd at least go up and see how the GPS worked. It worked great but ,what surprised me  the most  was the fishing wasn't to bad either. got on lake about 3:30 & fished until 8:30 , 4 nice catfish, which I don't keep, 6 average crappie nothing great but brought them home & couple nice perch too ...and caught bunch of small ones....good nice over all, caught everything down by the dam  Had a awesome sunset  too

    was there Saturday got one 26 and ahalf inch walleye and a bunch of small crappie
    wow, nice eye...have taken some nice eyes out of there but nothing lately...the keeper crappies were all around 10 & 11"  but also a bunch of small ones too. ...a few nice perch about 11 or 12"  There was a lot of boats  out down by the dam wed. evening....hope that's a good sign

    mopars, i love that picture.  the lake looks so doggone peaceful.

    as for your avatar, is that a 69 dart?  my eyes fail me at times...lol
    coldfront ....yeah the lake  was really peaceful that night, wife took the picture with her cell phone....good eye also...YES that's a 69 dart...340 swinger, 4 sp w/ 3.91's...have owned it 15 yrs

    a buddy of mine built one years ago.  lived in andover.  it was a beaut also.  miss those old cars.
    always been into the mopars, darts mainly ,had a ..70 swinger 340 4sp yrs ago ,also had a 67
    belvedere II conv. that I should have never sold..

    that's cool that you saw the picture on TV 24 ....we've been sending weather reports in for about
    15 yrs now....great bunch of people up there

    OK not going to start new thread....planning on going up to Wilhelm tomorrow with my buddy, kinda planning on hitting the stumps to see how we do. Going in the later afternoon until dark just wondering if anyone has been hitting the stumps or the lake at all. Not going to try Pym from all the low water reports , Wilhelm is closer. Wife & I did pretty good awhile back for crappies & perch down by the dam nothing real nice but did bring some home. Went there again last Thursday and it sucked....so don't know. Had some medical issues that I had to deal with but I'm good to go so I'm more then ready.

    Well, the day was awesome weather wise, fished the stumps ,few small crappie. Went down near launch 2 and finished up the day trolling the old road bed  about 15' to 18' of water. got a few keeper crappies, no walleye tho. From 8PM until dark worked the shore lines for bass and got a couple more crappies.  So over all had a great time with a little fish in freezer but sure hope it picks up in the fall....

    another awesome sunset picture last night at Wilhelm....fishing a little slow but this was worth the trip

    Steve, what the fuzz is that in the sky to the right of the sun? Freaking UFO? LOL! Looks too dense to be a cloud. It shows up as a thumnail on here so I can't make it out.

    lol...not sure what happened bud, loaded this picture up the same as I did the other sunset picture....It's a big cargo plane ,I guess the Air National guard ,probably out of Erie, have seen them before, looks like they're coming right up the lake....pretty cool.  Was sitting down by launch #2 on the other side of the lake.

    OK....how's this....lol

    steve, i would guess c130s out of the youngstown air reserve base.  they have a bunch there.
      you're probably right bud.....wasn't sure ,I know I see them all the time up there coming up the lake from the dam ,I was down by launch #2
