I read rumor that Yough lake is to have fireworks, Raystown already had theirs. I'm sure there has to be other places on the river with fireworks.

I agree with Snag_826. Mon city has a great show. There will be several boats on the water. River will be closed for about a 1/2 mile around the launch site, which in on the Allegheny side of the river. I've been there every year for the past +6 years. Bridge gets crowded with foot traffic.
You will need to get there early enough to find a parking spot.
I get great seats.......I am on the fire suppression detail for the launch pad.

kennywood has fireworks on the 4th of july. but it would probably be lousy to watch those fireworks from all the way down on the bottom of the river

Erie?  It's crowded too, but proabably not as bad as the River.w_w.

If it has fins and gills, I'm there.

Monongahaela does put on a really nice show. Unfortunately, i'll be watching from shore this year. Hopefully next year i'll have a boat. Also, in August, Glassport has what is called The Feast of Assumption. They are the best fireworks put on by a small town in my opinion. Go online to check the date. They set them off at the Gladiators stadium so you should have a nice view from the river.

after the storm we got last nite(just got power back), heading down to WV to get some REAL fireworks, and won't be afraid about fires tonight

If I agreed with you we’d both be wrong.
