Either steel or coho. Can't tell with such a small pic. I'm more interested in that pig 'eye beside it. I need a day like that.

I must be missing whatever it is that "sticks out". Unless you are just mistaking a steelhead for a walleye which it seems you might be. The fish in that picture, from bottom to top are yellow perch, walleye, steelhead, walleye, walleye, walleye, walleye, walleye. Maybe you weren't referring to the steelhead and we're all just missing the point?

Yeah. I'm confused too. Stillhead has it pegged. The one that "stands out" is the steelhead. However, the huge walleye beside it is hard not to look at.

There is no way that is a Blue Pike! Not even a Blue Pike/Yellow Pike Hybrid. His eyes would be glassed over like a walleyes. BH

You're messing with us right? I'm not being a jerk. You honestly must be joking. Look at the adipose fin on it. You won't have to look anywhere else. That tells you right there. If it's not a steelhead, it could be a coho. About the only way that I can tell the difference is by looking at the tail or in the mouth. However, it is definately not a walleye. No one is busting your chops or wants to upset you. We are just trying to help you identify a fish here. Look at the fins on the fish and make a logical identification. I still think you must be joking.

Steelhead. Like others said if it's not a steelhead then it's a coho salmon, but it does not look like a salmon to me. Definitely a steelhead.

I don't want to cause a fuss, but the fin circled in red is the soft dorsal, not the adipose.

Now that's a blue pike. Cool. Also, you are right about the soft dorsal. I've actually seen them referred to as both an adipose and soft dorsal in biology books. I just chose to use adipose as a universal term for all species to make it easier to understand. Where did you get the blue? I've never caught one.
