BONUS CATCH !!!

Made my way to the water to find some fish to poke holes in. I managed to have a great day on the water. Sunny , little to no wind , the right lure , and a good presentation made all the difference today. Caught a few smallies on top water and then changed to a tube jig. That was the difference between a decent day and a great one. The tube hammered em on a sandy edge next to a drop off with weeds near by.  There I just gave you the key to finding some smallies in the bay. Go get em.

THE BONUS FISH  !!!  
 
I was surprised to keep him hooked up since its very hard to get a hook into their mouths. Almost impossible so I will go on record saying this was a lucky catch.

    Were they pre or post spawn fish you caught with your 5 dollar rod?

    I don't always snag fish, but when I do...

    Rod was not $5   ,   its was free , a hand me down , that still performs flawlessly and you know just as well as I do slick  " who cares if they were pre / post spawn fish"  We found em and hammered em. But if you must know , My guess is post spawn.

    Deetz helped me get my first fish on a tube ever. The other 19 I got on tubes, I got myself.

    I got me 7 or 8 of them there 5.00 rods and like them all they are like my little friends 1 of em even landed a 15 " perch today nice post Deetz

    Lookin good deetz, looking good!  Ill be up friday morning and try my luck.  Bringing the wife, so i hope she can get a taste of the smallies I got two weeks ago.

    Water temp is in the 50s which means fish are pre spawn. All kidding aside nice fish, and hooked into two gar myself this weekend on the poppers
