High Point

Anyone hit High Point this past week??
Off Monday and weather forecast looks good.
Thinking of taking a run up the mountain ....

          Well I hit high Point this morning. 4 other boats on the water when I got there.
    NO WIND for the first hour or so. Then a breeze picked up till the wind and drizzle started around 10:30.
         Weeds are up, yet you can find spots where you have 3-4 feet of water. Saw LOTS of bluegills, and LOTS of 4"-6" perch. Did see a nice bass about 15" cruising by.
         I caught 1/2 dozen bluegills and 4 perch, all on minnows. No takers on the shiners though.
    OH I did catch a 15" catfish. He came up from the bottom as I reeled in and took a minnow.
       NOT at work so all in all a good day....
    Also saw several deer on the way up from Listonburg. And several turkey.
