Maple Creek Forest County

Was up in Cook Forest over the weekend and fished Maple Creek Greenwood Rd side and noticed that the creek bed had an orange tint to it. I know several other creeks up there have been damaged from pollution, but never noticed it on Maple Creek prior to this weekend. Has anyone else been up there and notice the same thing? There were trout in there and good fly action in the evenings but the color was concerning. I did catch one trout with a growth on the side of it's body..but that could have been from the hatchery or something.
