I probably should have started a new thread, but water clarity was mentioned earlier in this thread, so I'm continuing here. Last weekend I was able to see my toes at 3 1/2 '. That's clear water! It's not likely the water level will improve as this year continues since Pyme is a flood control project.

There was a water rescue today at the Linesville launch. They called in divers. Heard that on my scanner.

Me and my dad are planning to rent a poontoon boat for the day tomorrow. We are hopping to catch some eyes or crappie. we plan on using slip bobbers with either worms or minnows. We also have jig heads and a few harnesses. The game plan is to drift around till we get a few then maybe anchor down. Anyone have any tips on setup or where to go? Any help will be greatly appreciated! PM's are welcomed.

Thanks guys!

I'll be going tomorrow. I hope that you see this and can respond before you go to bed! How did you do? Any info would be greatly appreciated concerning walleye or slabs. Feel free to PM me. Thank you Sir!

Wish I could have met you up there Sir.

We put in at Manning and fished from 8AM to 9PM. We boated 4 walleye. 2 were 17" and the other two were 14 7/8". Let them go cause we couldn't take a chance. I caught some pretty decent slabs, a 30" channel cat and 3 smaller cats. I also caught some decent gills. I didn't light the water on fire, but at least I got to go fishing. The winds were too strong and the waves were too big, but it was fun.
