It's more than just 2-3 low it's more like 4-5 low... If you have a deeper boat don't even attempt orchard... I launched my flat bottom out of there today and had my truck 7 feet into the water to put in and take out. Water around orchard is 1.5-2 only and that was 50-100 yards off shore, and it was crystal clear, I've never seen the water so clear before!

O and the fishing stunk... Trolled from 7am-noon running harnesses and changed to tots with 2 small eyes and one 17" to show. Trolled from orchard to Tuttle and back. Never did that bad for fish, couldn't even get a perch

I know I have never in 25 years seen it this clear...

But it didn't hurt the fishing today... 5 hours, 3 people, 5 total rods and 11 keeper eyes 7 short eyes, 11-12 small perch and 3 bluegill. 15-18 fow, anything more or less and not even a hit.

Fished yesterday from noon till about 8pm.  2 people fishing, we fished over by snodgrass.  Caught a bunch of good size crappie.  Kept 50 that were 10 inches or larger, caught 1 perch and 1 sublegal walleye.  We were in 10-12 fow.

I noticed the incredibly clear water 2 weeks ago near the dam and couldn't believe how clear it was. It was like looking into an aquarium! Anybody have any plausible ideas? As far as I know, there aren't any Zebra mussels at Pyme.

Fished last night, just caught a few perch and a lg mouth bass. I've caught a few things out of pyme that wasn't fish, such as a sea gull, turtles, a diving duck, and frogs all by accident. I used a rooster tail last night, casting from shore, and there was a beaver swimming close by me. I talked to it and I never really gave it much thought about it being there, but this is the honest to God truth, I casted about 6 feet from it and it dived under and chased my roster tail. I reeled it in(rooster tail) as fast as I could. I didn't catch it. It came back up and swam off.

Took my dad out this morning we totally 7 legal Walleye between 17 - 21, a bunch of catfish threw them all back, and 2 decent Bluegill.  I was surprised that there were hardly any other boats out until about 12:30 even though the weather was perfect.  We started at 6.

Crappie guy I think you are wrong.  Perfect weather would be 35 degrees and 12 inches of hard water with no wind.  No way in Hades would you catch me out on the lake in this weather to darn hot for me.  I get sun poisining to easy.  It would be rough wearing a long sleeve shirt in this weather.  That's why I'm off the lake by 9:30 AM during the summer.

No eye crosser you are wrong.

It was 64 overcast with breeze.  There was a nice chop to the water.  Temps broke 78 when we were loading the car to come home.  Glad we blew off the forcast and went anyway as there was no sign of thunderstorms or temps in the 90's.

Thanks for your critique of my post though.  You know what they say, opinions are like @#@#$@#, everyone has one.

Thursday it was 41" below norm. Had to push with oars to get to dock at bay 41. A 16 will not launch there and my 14 wasn,t easy.

Pymy hasn't been at normal level yet in 2012. Frustrating. After the flooding in the spring of 2011 they lowered it too much last winter and then never got the snow melt or spring rain they were expecting. I would much rather deal with high water than low water on that lake.
