thieves at the out-flow

Went to the Yough out-flow to keep out of the green stuff that's below there. Caught a few fish. While fishing I left a ultra-lite spinning outfit against one of the benches while I used my noodle rod. Never was far from the bench area; but when I went to leave the spinning outfit was gone. Can't say for certain who did it; but some folks were near me that left earlier than me even made a return trip to the parking area after only being gone for a short time. Circled the parking area and left again. Older Ford pick-up that was two-tone blue. Didn't see them take it; but if I was a betting man, the money's on them. Can't watch your stuff and enjoy fishing at the same time. Lesson learned the hard way I guess.

Can't forget, you're still in Fayette-Nam.  Not everybody in that area are the affluent yuppie biker/canoer/rafter type.

Exactly. You stole the words right from my mouth. They probably took it to the pawn shop and hacked it for drug, beer, or cigarette money. Must have run out of aluminum siding on their trailer to scrap for cash. Not lying, I've seen it with my own two eyes.

tippy; Yes they still stock trout in that section with the small truck. I used to float stock it in my Cook's store days. My wife and I owned Cook's Store from 79 to 84. Still am part owner of the farmhouse(cabin) on the corner before going on the lane to Foley. It was fished very hard the first week. Less people and less fish now. It will be stocked again on the 18 t/h.

Don;t put it past the "yuppie" types either. Dirt bag thieves run in all circles of life.
