Let's say it is 10 miles south of the Yough Reservoir: what's the limit, on the river, in Maryland?

    What a fascinating mystery!

Give the guy a break. If he didn't break any laws he can eat whatever he wants and if he did break a law leave it to the wco's to enforce.

Man, I have seen a heck of alot of poaching and wrong doing on pa waters in my 24 years, so that statement is flawed and mildly frightening. He sure is entitled to keep that fish, but that wouldnt stop me from mean-mugging and wishing terrible fishing karma on him. Think what you will, but consistent and extensive harvest should not be condoned. Luckily, the younger anglers I know feel the same, so now I just need to wait 10 years for the old way to die--literally.

I'm a catch and release angler as well. My point is that the guy gets ripped for doing something totally legal. If it's said to him in a nicer way to try to educate him on the importance or catch and release maybe he would actually receive it.

Wolf I agree, catch and release is very important. The guy mentioned he kept 3 because he hooked them deep. He didn't say he goes out everytime catches his limit and let's em' rot in the back of the freezer. People on this forum tend to pile on certain people/topics for no reason.

+1. But the main reason they do that is because they don't bother to pay attention to what's been posted. Anyone who had would see the OP said he only kept 3 that were hooked deep.

Men and fish are alike. They both get into trouble when they open their mouths.

    Who is ripping him?

If you had a sense of humor, like the original poster does, you'd have seen that the joke has nothing to do with keeping a fish, and everything to do with not knowing North from South. The original poster got the joke.

But you'd rather be internet policeman and tell us how to behave. Nobody cares.
