It is very low and slow and clear as gin....therefore guys are all bunching up around the few holes. Need good rain to spread what fish are left....

Turtle Creek gets a pretty bad rap (perhaps for good reason), but when I lived on that side of town I really enjoyed getting out there for a few hours. Scenery and fishing is nice and after the first 2-weeks, you could fish wherever you wanted to.

    Thanks Guys,
I may try and stop in between jobs tomorrow for a few. All the creeks need a good rain...hell i'll fish in the rain scares most of the people off. It's a shame they don't stock more portions of all these creeks. I like to wonder off and wade way down or up stream there are some great holes in these streams but unfortunately no fish!

It's tough...when they were stocking the water was so low that the fish didn't get stocked in more than a few hundred yards of each other...they were stacked up opening. They did stock again on Monday but it's my understanding that it wasn't all that many fish. I'm heading out tomorrow afternoon after work so I'll let you know how it is.

fished the upper part and same results...except I didn't see the fish there. I saw 2 caught and there were still a good amount of people there. We need some rain.

Tasty, sounds like you need polarized glasses, I think I could see every single fish upstream of the Saunders bridge to the downed tree. Yesterday got 1 on a power worm on the second cast, then they all seemed to get lockjaw except a couple short strikes swinging a small spoon right in front of their noses. Def need some rain, I've never seen it that clear.

I've got the polarized glasses. I only saw 2 fish in the water and each was 13" at best. I didn't go upstream past the bridge at all though. I thought about throwing a few spinners underneath the bridge but then realized I didn't have any in my vest.

You're right though it's really clear.

This rain should help some. I have yet to fish it around saunders station bridge this year but I will sometime soon. I work in Monroeville now and usually take the turnpike home but there are times when I take side roads and will stop and fish.
