uber snob custom
nothing says "Uber Snob" like having your own custom made fly rod all sarcastic joking aside. i want to thank Skip from 'Mile Creek Custom Rods' for building me this 4wt 9' rod. thought some of you would enjoy the work done on this and an example what some custom builders can do to make you a rod that is special and to your taste. "~Doubletaper" that's a Don Tomas cigar band inlay

B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L. Skip will be getting my order here soon enough.
If I agreed with you we’d both be wrong.

Very nice indeed. Just something about a custom built rod. Probably just me, but catching a fish on one seems to make it a little more special. I also have a rod built by Skip, and can attest to the quality of the workmanship.

Very handsome piece of craftwork there. Nice work, Skip. DT, ENJOY!

Had the rod out all day on Sunday on the Tionesta. Caught trout all day on it. Early caught them on nymphs and streamers. by 8:30 i was catching trout on dries. The fast action 4wt handled the Cortland Precision Trout Platinum WF4F line with ease. thanks again to Skip for the custom rod built and Dan for the Cortland line. great match up. a few trout i caught in the drizzling rain in the morning.

it's great for bigger trout and steelhead. grabbing them by the neck of the tail. smaller thin trout don't hold too well in them until they calm down. 'the fly shop' in california has'm. the 'rogue angler' had them also. not sure where else to get them. a few guys on the board asked me, they might be able to help you out. they run anywhere from $19.00 to $9.00

Wait a minute. On second thought, I call BS. In the narrative you state the you were using a Cortland WF4F, but your screen name is Doubletaper. That just doesn't add up, you know. So what is it -- WF, DT, or BS?

My change was prompted by a computer issue. I am too lazy to have changed it otherwise.
