Pine Creek VS Montour Run

Hey guys this is my last and final post. No arguments, no sarcasm, just a simple answer on this one.

If you had to choose between fishing Pine Creek VS Montour Run which one would you pick?

Im debating between these 2 just cannot come to a final decision. Heard both good and bad things about both!!

Thanks!

On opening day, honestly, I wouldn't fish Montour. The path is like a tackle shop on parade, and the only thing not being bombed at the pools of scared fish are depth charges and full beers. Plenty of empties laying in piles though to last through out the year.

    It really is disgusting.

I have never fished pine creek but I have been going to montour for past 6 years for opening day and never really had a problem with the crowds. By 10 most people move around and there is plenty of stream to fish

i go to college in Erie

If I'm already in Erie, there's no way in hell that I'm driving 2.5 hours south to catch 5 puny trout out of a ditch when there's plenty of local ditches to fish!

I know if it was my choice I'd be fishing up Erie opening day but I had to come home Thursday because I have to go to the doctors tomorrow.. I had bloodwork come back not so well. So I decided to stay the weekend and have a good time with my buddy for the opener. Trust me I'll do plenty of fishing once I go back lol

I think it's a lot easier to get away from the crowds on Pine, especially if you got some waders. Good luck with the bloodwork, hope it's nothing serious.

pine creek is very very low and clear, i cant see montour being much better. Whatever you choose pick the deepest hole or one with a lot of shade.

Thats disgusting. I saw a show on TV one time about bio-hazard disposal companies filling barges full of medical waste and then just dumping them off shore. Absolutely disgusting.
