Me and a few buddies will be heading up to one of their cabins for trout opener for some stream fishing and I never really fish streams, anybody have any helpful tips? I'll be using spinning gear, I never really got into fly fishing

shiny bent pieces of metal dude. that's all i use for one of my two trout trips a year. they can't resist shiny. unless you get to fish with somebody who doesn't give you crap for using bait. then i'd go with waxies.

1/8 oz.
But yes, I agree. Be sure to carry black, white, and chartreuse. The rainbow trout colored ones were also a favorite of mine.
