Yup...water needs to warm up a bit more for prime fishing.

You do not need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.

Yeah, son & I were out from 3:00 untill 8:30PM yesterday 2 keeper eye 18" & 17" and a few nice crappie. Trollled with hot -N-tots and worm harness nothing...Seemed to put up from 6:30 to dark...as usual. Just driftred with jigs & minnies then. Awesome day for a father & son bonding even if he is 35...ha..ha.. Fished south end from causeway to Duck & Drakes....

Fished today 4/22  from 8:45 to 6 P.M. Miserable conditions, wind ,rain, and waves sometimes to 4 feet. Had to use 3/8 oz jigs to hit bottom. Between the 2 of us we boated 8 keepers. Fatheads and gulp grub{black} 9 feet to 20 feet depths. Total count: 13 eyes, 1 crappie, and 1 cat.

These fish must be all screwed up with these changing weather patterns. I'm assuming the crappie are still full of eggs. Can anyone catching them verify? Looking to come up and once we get a few good days/nights and the water temp. stabilizes somewhat.

Got them the other day before these fronts came, in 6 fow.  Couldn't keep them off the hook.   Was fishing for eyes.   Used 4 dozen medium minnows in a little over 2 1/2 hours.

Been picking up 2 or 3 legal eyes every morning fishing humps.   Yesterday finally started to catch them trolling hot n tots.  Need the wind to drop down to a gentle breeze for some serious fishing.  Have to spend 1/2 the time fighting the wind when I could be fighting fish.  Had a good 40+ inch musky on yesterday morning.   It hit a small 1/16 oz. jig and tail.  Did bring home 2 keepers.  Still up in the shallows 6 fow.

Fished last evening out of snodgrass. Used jig and crawlers. Caught 7 small eyes. Tried a worm harness and bottom bouncer and caught my first legal one. Next time i will concentrate on trolling with harness and bottom bouncer.
