Small impoundment name, Rte. 528...

During a drive a couple weeks ago, went past a lake right along 528 b/w Evans City and Rte. 79. Anyone know the name and know if it's accessible to the public?

    Evan City Reservoir.

    It is typically closed, but they used to (over 10 years ago)open it for a tournament sometime in May.w_w.

    If it has fins and gills, I'm there.

    I've caught some hogs out of there at night, just don't have lights on your canoe and don't yell fish on

    Yep - closed to the public.

    On a side note - when in the area (Evans City) stop in at the Sports and Spirits - they have THE best wings in Western PA.

    strikers in zelie has good wings. or try the hot ranch at the lyndora hotel. the everything wings at sports and spirits are my favorite right now

    You might want to cll the commission on that, but I do believe acouple years ago when they reopend Lake onieda and Thorn Run in Butler County , that the Evans City res. was also one of the ones they opened to fishing, Just saying.

    Some days it just doesn't pay to chew your way out of the restraints.

    I passed it yesterday and didnt see anyone nor have i ever, im assuming its still closed

    There was nothing in the press release, to indicate that.

    Inlaws live up that way and was just wondering if it was worth bringing any tackle along on any visits. I guess not.
