It's interesting that one of the biggest selling points to the urban folks for reducing the deer population was because they (the deer) were responsible for the rise in Lyme disease. It wasn't until AFTER herd reduction that they admitted that deer had very little to do with the problem and even if the deer were eliminated we would still have the same amount of Lyme disease. Our only chance now is to reduce the human population.

Have lost 2 good dogs to Lyme over the past few years- One grandkid and I have also taken the 'cure'. The dogs had all the proper shots and such and still got it. We live in central Ct not too far from Lyme Ct. Ticks abound here as in most of the Northeast and we use all the available sprays and such on the yard as well. --Never enough stuff to care for those little creepers. Never come in the house without first checkin out your entire body and clothing- even then the little Lyme carriers can easily be missed.

"Our only chance now is to reduce the human population." I thought "your side" was opposed to that I don't have a Side. Three things I could never understand 1. Why Conservatives were against the Governmemt getting involved in most everything------ except a womans body. 2. Why Liberals were for the freedom to do most everything-----except own a firearm. 3. If total deer herd reduction was really justified why Alt and associates have to tell so many half truths, and outright lies to sell it. There, back on topic.

When is the PGC going to publish the tick allocations by WMU and how much is a tick tag this year?

You have to roll them in bread crumbs and deep fry them, gives the sauce more to stick to.

Always found it difficult to tag them and drag them out- Gutting is a mess too. As far as bleeding them goes I generally cut their little throats and let them lay a while upside down- ya never know whos blood is in them.

Blackened Ticks on the half shell 2 dozen or so fresh live ticks flat iron skillet 3 clam shells Black pepper Worcestershire sauce. split clams shells and warm them around a camp fire pour 2 tablespoons of worcestershire sauce on a small iron skillet heat iron skillet until wercestershire sauce starts to bubble toss fresh Ticks on bubbling skillet. when Ticks stop moving pour ingredients in warmed clam shells and sprinkle with black pepper. Ticks on the Barbie Live Ticks (how many depends on appitite) BBQ Sauce Wooden mallet Bisquick small round cookie cutter BBQ Grille make dough out of bisquick and flatten on wooden table scatter a few puddles of BBQ sauce on flattened dough. drop Ticks on dough and let them crawl around. when any get near-enough to the BBQ sauce smack them with the wooden mallet. (putting flour on the wooden mallet keeps ticks from sticking.) use the cookie cutter to make a circle cut out around tick. take dough cut out and cook on rack on grille until light brown. Goes good with P!ss Poor Beer.
