all of my best days fishing anywhere came with no camera .....i think its got something to do with murphy's law.  all i can say is that if you wanna catch bigger fish, you gotta use bigger baits. seriously, try using 4“ cut sunfish on a 1/2oz. slip rig. and be sure to loosen your drag if you walk away from your rod......or youll add to the collection i started there 2 years ago

yea, ive hit the yough res. and outflow ....their some of my favorite spots in Pa. ....but ive never fished for cats there. its always been walleye, smallies and trout. its kinda hard to go there and target cats when i got the ohio river in my back yard, ya know?

Yeah, I hear ya, I'd be doing the same, fish what's good to fish where you are. The bf wants to go up to fish Acme dam for carp I'm like wth! You're not going to get any size up there, and Somerset is in your back yard! I just dunt get it. Wtv...
I don't eat catfish anymore. One day I caught one, it was the most fun I ever had catching a fish and when i held him, he started talking to me. I respected that fish, and I promised him i wouldn't hurt his kind ever again, but crappies ..well, those are fair game.

Just cause a girl likes to fish doesn't mean nothin lol. I still like Art, music, dancing, shopping, soap operas, home decorating and lots more girly things that will make you say eww... Does that help calm them down?

Nope, he's not on here much. He's St Croix boy, there is another guy with that screen name spelled Stcroix boy. So it's a lil confusing. His name's Alex, he grew up in Somerset anyone who hangs around the lake much probably knows him, he was a fly fishing guide at Seven Springs for awhile, that's where I met him. Sorry for going on about him, guys that can fish and hunt and kill me food are my weakness! He catches it, filets it, and then cooks it for me, (he was a chef)...I was hooked!

Honestly I'm still learning to do all these rigs, and I'm too scared to touch the toothy buggers like Pike, as for stomaching..I've been catching salamanders, frogs, snakes and toads since I was knee high :p lol, and btw he didn't catch me I caught him, so I guess I'll shake my own hand.

I talked to a biologist today who came out from the commission office while I was fishing. He believes the lake level is low enough that the leak has stopped so it may not go to much lower if that is correct.
Fishing was very poor but as the day went on I did notice more and more carp jumping so perhaps fishing will pick up this evening or tomorrow.
I went from where the mowed area starts at the left side of the main boat launch to the breast and except for deep in the cove by the fish commission office the mud was not to bad. You will need some kind of boot but you can get to the lake about anywhere between those spots without being in knee deep mud.
