Was considering hitting the lower Allegheny near Lock 3 early tomorrow morning but with the recent rain I'm going to pass.

Got out for the first time yesterday. Fished the Allegheny from shore not far from the city. No bites; I didn't stay long. Visibility was low as it's somewhat muddy, but not terrible.

I'm sure the rain coming this weekend won't help but I'll be up there again in the next few days. I also plan to hit the Mon near Homestead Bridge this weekend.

Fished the al last Monday, very high, not quite muddy. Caught 1 eye, missed another. Waded past about a 10" Sm or rock bass in shin deep water just to get to "shore" didn't even spook him, walked right past 3 times. He was a lil small to eat the 5" chub on my jig though. Hopefully it gets close to 60* soon, I'm ready for flatheads.

Next week has highs of 78 and 79 degrees. It might as well be summer.

Fished the Ohio by the island in Midland today. Picked up a 10# flathead around 6 pm on a creek chub. Other than that, 1 sheephead all day.
