Gotta agree with you there bro!

I don't want to pay to fish. Especially in a place like that. If anything, they should limit it to carp fishing for contests. I understand they're in it to make money. But that's exactly the problem as with most things.

My question is why we have to wait another 4 weeks to fish when then weather and water is so perfect right now. What exactly are we waiting for? Not spawning. Not conditions. So what? Sorry, but this "trout season opener" stuff is for the birds. I've been nailing stockers in West Virginia several times a week for the last month. I wish PA would follow suit. Why pander to the 80% who buy a license, fish one day, and then never fish again?

Because the the other 20% (me,you, most of the guys on here) are gonna buy a license, anyway. The only way they get the 80% to buy a license is to make "Opening Day" a big deal.

Never been to a pay lake, probably will never go. Carp are hardly pressured and easy to catch, even sight fish, in many if not all sw pa lakes. And most have shots at 20+lb fish. But, to each his own. I may love it if I would actually go...

Ppl fish carp at paylakes for the money in the contests, not for the sport of carp fishing.

So then you're right on the money, so to speak. I haven't been to the casino either. Gambling is a tax on stupidity.

paylake fishing is alot different. some people can hammer fish and some people cant catch nothing. most of the time in paylakes you gotto find the fish. if u sit in the same spot for a couple hours and dont catch anything, the fish are probabl schooled up in another part of the lake.
