Right. Nothing is ridiculous about it. That's why you can't produce a coherent argument.

This brings to mind a post I had here back in mid winter, when I was one of only two fishermen on the entire Lower Lake on a cold cold day....Two fish police vehicles turned up (4 officers) and stopped behind my car as I was about to leave for home. They observed my license and inside my cooler which contained 2 trout. I was then asked to open my trunk, fishing bag AND glove box in case I had any hidden fish...need I say more?....

That's does seem a bit over the top to me. But once again if you're following all laws then how big of a deal was it really?

Unfortunately par for the course. You should have refused to consent to such a search. I know I would have.

Well true...because I knew I break no laws I was not worried, but the attitude initially was slightly intimidating...maybe it was "school day" for a couple of them?....

Seems to happen quite a lot. I've had a real bad taste in my mouth for them since I saw them bothering an extremely elderly man for having his license in his tackle box instead of pinned on. Turns out the pin broke on the holder, which was probably 50 years old (if his Zebco rod and reel was any indication). It was one of the most disgusting displays I've ever seen.

Another time I fished for almost an hour in a secluded DHALO stream before a fish cop came out of the brush and told me he'd been watching me the whole time.

That's pretty uncalled for and I'd agree with you that it wasn't necessary.
