I hope it was released, that's a nice fish. I just came across the video on youtube last night lol I intend to catch one there this summer. And I didn't know that they had channels in the lower lake too, I thought it was just bullheads and stuff down there

I was at the upper lake today trying out my new rod/reel and berkely nanofil line on some trout by the far side parking lot and these 2 guys came in and sat right next to me and threw 6 lines out not more than 15 ft away =( I'm going to have to buy my girlfriend 3 rods so we can fish 6 rods and hook me one of these nice channels

Yes, I was at both lakes today...the 3 rod thing is getting rapidly out of hand...ironically, I saw a young couple near me, with one rod apiece....they each got their limit within half an hour and went home! I never had a hit myself in the same spot over a 5 hour period....but that is another story......

the three rod rule is going to be nice for night fishing, i can have 2 rods out for cats/carp and then fish for bass with another. for trout fishing it's gonna be nuts. places like twin lakes are going to be even more ridiculous come trout season. might be good for laughs though, there are gonna be so many tangles and crossed lines!!!

Caught a nice 20"-25" channel cat in the upper lake on a hotdog almost 2 years ago..  They are in there... And I am wondering why the hell PFBC even thought the 3 rod deal would be a good idea... I've seen people who can't manage 1 rod... Let alone 2...  But really give them 3?  I think I may take out my camera on opening day to twin lakes, mammoth, and donegal just to take pics of all the fools who get tangled due to there in ability to keep track of 2 rods let alone 3...  I really hope that gets ruled out by next year because it's a huge mistake..

Because some people can manage 3 rods. The rule doesn't require you to use 3 rods, it just gives you the option to. If a person can't handle 2 rods I don't see why they'd add an extra rod and willingly cause themselves to be untangling more lines and tying more knots.

Tasty i've seen it and it's a riot I just feel bad for those around them...  So there will be some who try it for some unknown reason... Also, Sam have you seen any bass being caught lately?   I haven't been to twin lakes since spring last year and having and itch to throw some plastics and jerk baits...

They were hitting minnows at the upper lake this morn.according to a friend of mine. I was at Yellow Creek trying for Northerns & Crappie. 2nd cast on my Crappie rig I got a short (22")North.on a Trout Magnet. Not much fight even on a ultra light & 4# line. Was surprized that it didn't cut the line. Very few guys out . sam
