Upper Walnut?

I usually fish Walnut Creek between the Railroads, Theres 2 more places upstream on the maps, PFBC accesable, The first one looks like a half mile walk from the parking spot. Do the steelies make it that far up on Walnut? Is it worth, what looks like a half mile walk? I only have one day to fish this year, and a 3.5hr drive to get there, and i dont want to waist it walking. I have spots on Elk that have always been good to me. but im always looking for something new/ Different, to fish.
Thanks in advance.

Why not start at Elk and then go to Walnut? That way if your go-to spots are on fire you get fish, if not why not explore some?

I fish upper walnut fairly often and if I only had one day to fish, that is not where I would be headed. Wasting my only day to explore unfamiliar areas that may not hold very many fish would be disappointing. Just a thought...and there aren't too many up that way.
