Ice fisherman drowns on Ridgway Res

I'm posting this for those that didn't see this, we lost a fellow ice fisherman down here on Thursday. The older gentleman went out on Thur afternoon on Ridgway reservoir and didn't return home that evening. The family called after he didn't return and rescuers found his body under the ice at midnight. Please don't push it going out on soft ice this time of year, better to wait till next season for cold temps and hard ice.

Terrible to hear...I didn't plan a single ice fishing trip this season because I didn't see a time would the ice would be good enough to plan a trip.

Men and fish are alike. They both get into trouble when they open their mouths.

The man who drowned was former WCO Les Haas.
