Early to bed
Early to rise
Fish like hell
And make up lies!

Y not? we had some killer days on the ice this year. I learned a ton of new techniques, fished places I probably wouldn't of fished if there was ice on pyma or the bay. For the season that we did have I would say it was pretty darn good. I am definitely ready for the open water fishing now.

The closest place to me that had ice was about an hour and 45min. drive from me and I just didnt feel like making that drive over and over again. I"m the type of person that just cant go once lol.    I have friends that ice fish but they hardly want to go on longer trips unless there is a ton of ice.  But on a lighter note, I have been catching walleyes in the rivers for a week and a half now

Screw ice fishing.  Another week or so and I will be uncovering the boat!

Musky, all other fish are just bait!

Me neither. Had my auger worked on, new synthetic oil mixed with av gas, all tip ups and rods relined as needed, even bought a custom built rod. Sled was all loaded up and ready to go. Made a few trips to local ponds, didn't find suitable ice. Oh well, maybe I'll live long enough to give it a go next winter.

nahh not global warming. this has happend before.
i fished alot but the thickest ice i found was 6 and the usual was 3.5 or 4".
after this season i have grown to feel very comfortable on 4 inches of ice and i learned alot.
