ORIGINAL: just keep a few

Who has time to argue on a fishing forum? Is this even real? Is this whats important to people who live in a country where unemployment is 8%,constitutional rights are being trampled, taxes and spending are out of control,Iran is getting close to nuclear weopons,Vladimir Putin is the new President of Russia...need I go on people? Focus on whats important and just get along.

The 8% unemployment rate is the people that are still collecting unemployment. What about the people that have had their unemployment benefits expire? Who cares about Iran and Russia? We need too worry about our own country and quit being so **** diplomatic!

By the way, what exactly is a "weopon"? Is that like a gon or a rofle? Just curious!?!

"Helpful ****"; "i" love it!

Guys, could we keep it about 'Any body fishin pymatuning from there boats yet??' ??

Take the unemployment percentage, liberal labels, and yoda speak to off-topic...
hate to lock a useful thread over that jibberish.

And, thanks to those trying to stay on topic.

Sorry Pork. I spoke with my grandfather who lives up there and he frequently goes to the spillway to sit in his car and watch the people fishing with bino's. He said he hasn't seen people catching them yet and after talking with the Game Commission over there he also confirmed that he hadn't come across many people catching them.

A couple launches had skim ice this morning. No ice floating, at least none that I have seen. There have been a few guys out with limited success. Most of the 'eyes that I have heard about have been down towards Jamestown, while fishing in the late evening.

Spillway, sand bars, islands, the two bridges over the causway, bridge 20,any stream that dumps into the lake. Its to early but should start in a week or so I'd say just wait it out till you can really get into them. It's to cold and the lakes low, better in high water and higher water temps. When the water hits 45 ish things will start.

Was out twice last week when the weather permitted. Got 5 total. Bite is still slow. Probably not worth coming up from Pittsburgh right now with gas near $4 a gaalon. Give it a few weeks.

I worry about the economy, foreign policy,  gas prices and our current administration Monday through Friday.  Fishin’ (and this forum when I can’t be on the water) let me hit the reset button.  To all you guys that give me something to read during the year and some good weather/water/fishing reports – Thanks!  Pork you run a good ship on here and keep all the boys playing nice.  We are close, got some warm weather the next couple of days and hope to get up there this weekend to check on the places and definitely wet a line.  Hope you guys all get to do the same and get into some…take it easy.   Mike A – that’s one for the year!

Well the fiancée picked me up today from work and surprised me with the fishing gear saying she wanted to go fishing. Went to the spillway from 9-1030 tonight and not even a hit. One other guy there and he left shortly after we got there. Was a nice clear night and temps weren't to awfully cold. It was a nice surprise seeing she really doesn't like to fish at night. As I've been saying if the temps stay up, the weekend of the 24th will be it. 2 1/2 weeks of warm and we get some rain, the water temps will be in the mid 40's. They are calling for a few cold nights this week which won't help the temps to rise, but it shouldn't hurt it to bad. I'll keep updating as I get out.

The worst day hunting or fishing will always be better then the best day at school or work!

With all the fishing you've been doing and info you've been giving us guys that don't live in the area I hope you catch your personal best this year. I'm patiently waiting for my first trip up.

Yeah I have to agree that she is a keeper. Only problem with her liking to hunt and fish...it gets expensive! I never have a problem buying new things, as long as I get some also. Me, "I need a new rod". Her, "ok me too". "I need new waders". Her, "yeah mine just started leaking so I need a new pair also".

She wanted to start fly fishing, I have now got her a 3 rods and boxes full of flies. She now has a trout specific tackle box, a tackle box for basic fishing, and is now working on a bass specific box. I think I have created a monster! Well at least I never have to worry about finding somebody to go with. But the best part is still insists I leave her at home and go fishing/hunting with just the guys.

I just want to say thanks again to indsguiz for giving her a steelhead fly rod for her birthday 2 years ago at the one fly, one less I had to get for her.

The worst day hunting or fishing will always be better then the best day at school or work!

Take it from an older guy , having a boss that hunts and fishes with you is a sweet deal, only downside for me is she usually manages to do better on size , like if I would catch a 20 inch eye she'll catch a 21 incher, really was neat two bows seasons ago I took a nice 8, week or so later she took a 7 that was a tick bigger there went bragging rights for a year, good to have something in common once the newness wears off but kinda weird when she hogs the new Cabelas catalog first.
