ORIGINAL: RhnstnCowboy ORIGINAL: SevenMileShowcase before this gets locked or deleted we should drop this and stick to the main subject of trout fishing Any possible question that has been asked about PA pellethead fishing has been answered more than 1,000 times on this site. You've reached the end of the internet. Turn around and go back. I'd agree Sevenmile. As the OP this wasn't started to ask questions as I didn't ask specific ones that could be found by doing a search. It was meant to talk about the upcoming season, if people were going somewhere new (not found in a search), etc. That was the point of the thread. No need to hijack it and turn it into something that gets locked. Things were moving smoothly until a few insults were thrown out...but I guess that's how the forum is. So what I'd ask is if you'd like to comment or ask questions about the upcoming trout season then please do so. If you're just going to troll and insult people why not find another thread to hijack. Thanks.

Well said! Anyway, I am always looking for a new spot, I fish in Washington county. I always catch a few and it is not over packed. I would just like somewhere else to go for the experience. Something not to far away would be great. I look at all the stocking streams, but I would still like to know where to go on these streams and any other useful info would be great.

If I go to a new stream, first thing I do is hit the pfbc site. They're nice enough to list all the stocked streams and even will show on the map exactly where they put em in. Go to one if these spots, then work your way downstream past the crowds to a nice hole or deep run. This works flawlessly on every stream I've tried. You can also find the stocked spot on Google maps, follow the stream and find additional access points and deeper holes show up pretty well if there's not too much tree cover.

i lost the spring and button to the igloo cooler So glad I'm not the only one. I saw one on a camping trip one time where somebody found a plastic cap off of something that fit in the spot the button goes. they just had it attached to a string and tied onto the handle. Also you forgot the colored marshmallows.

How about a slick name brand fishing vest to carry your stuff in? I have sunk to using a plastic bucket that I sometimes use to also carry my charcoal in when I want to smoke some fishes. sam

I don't know about you guys, but when I was young I used eagle claw snelled hooks and a piece of night crawler or meal worm in the kiddie pond at Cooks Forest. Used to catch a limit, my dad used to bake the trout, and we kids had the best weekend we've ever had all year. It's from this excitement and joy from when I was a kid that propelled my interest in fishing, and notably, my love for catching trout. I still get just as excited every year on the first day of trout as I did back then, and I cannot wait for this year either. Fishing never gets old, in any way, shape or form.

I spend opening day down on the yough between Ohio Pyle and Confluence. So much area there's never a lot of people. I have all season to fish the stockies so the first few days I like trying my luck with a biggun. And if you don't catch any trout you always get into a few smallies...

My fishing debut this year will most likely involve sitting along the shore at poe valley state park, fishing the lake for stocked trout using powerbait and my ugly stick while hanging out with my dog. And i will enjoy every minute of it, regardless of how amatuer i look.

Started fishing them last year and there are very few people it seems like, probably because you can't use live bait or keep the fish, but that's fine with me
