Fav. 2011 Fushes

This Fush was my fav. for 2011. A close to home Trutta in a stream that doesn't get stocked. It's the kind with no red spots but plenty of black freckles. Long and lean vs. the other type that are short and stocky. Perfection brought to hand for a quick photo op...

    This one came from my home river where very few fish it.This section has never been stocked and is very hard to get to. I got it in May on a softhackle swung beneath a ledge. Nice fish, Salmo. Wild ones are special animals. I was torn between this fish and a pic  of Tuna and I with a double on Cohos.  It may be common to alot of people, but it's not to me. I thought it was pretty  cool.

    Just got off the Ice..
    Tuff call on fav Phish in 2011..

    Didnt know where else to put this- Dawns place with its private fishing hole is for sale- noticed it while lurking on the other place.

    Not quite my fav phishing pic's but know it's my bro-in-laws fave so far in 2012..
    wanted to take the grandkids out yesterday but the local ice was just too sketchy for them.. We had 3" black ice but the shorline was weak and the holes we drilled last week were growing..

    Anyway , a fun day chasing snots , a nice pig LMB and a bucket of perch using the new Vex:
    Today ? Install 2 new interior doors :(

    Congrats to bro-in-law! Did he get it on his jig stick?  That place doesn't look much different than all these ponds around me. They're everywhere.    I want to hear about the Vex, too.

    Ah, the Vexilar......
    After I found the owner of the "found" vex I went on fishusa and got a great deal on an FL-18 pro-II.. It was the cheapest seen so far this year with free shipping..
    Ordered it on a tues , it came on thurs.. Great place to order from..

    Every fish on the stick from me, snot rockets & perch were by using the VEX.. I seen every one take on the flasher.. BIG advantage for sure.. Fish I don't think I woulda caught otherwise.. Hey they work and I'm happy..

    The Pig... Nah.. Big shinner on a tip-up.. I cant convince my brother in law to drill a hole next to mine and catch some dinner too.. He is still old school.. But I'm catching more ..lol

    Here is my favorite, not the biggest but the first one I caught on a fly rod with a fly I tied myself.

    I remember that one Clint. You'll remember it for the rest of your life. You'll be adding some 20 lber's to it, but it will still get remembered.
