It's a catch 22 thing....
It's a catch 22 thing....  Warm winter = lower gas/oil heating bills  Cold winter = lots of ice fishing Sure glad I can fish all year long....  I've been out ice fishing 3 times this year so far... How about you?
You do not need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.

I've been out 3 or 4 times . Fishing ok catching real slow .You been doing any good???

Dusty..Fishings been great...Catching been poor.
Rain and 38* with a high of 50* this afternoon.
Bummers....Hope Feb. winter is better or we have an early Spring.

Been out ZERO,not risking my life on 2 inches of ice. I guy fished Pymy on 2" clear and 1 1/2 milky white ice.All I can say is God bless him.I've been ice fishing for a long time and hope for many years more.I still have gills and crappies in the freezer from last year so no need to rush things if it doesn't happen (ice) then that will be the second time since 1965. My son only 26 and is a ice fishing fool,but he respects the ice and is not going on any thing less than 4" of clear hard ice.
