Cross Creek Update

I went and checked the conditions today. The lake is 90% locked up. the ice for the most part is good black ice. At the docks i bust through so i could measure and found almost an inch. Hopefully the cold nights will give us some fishing. Even if it gets thick enough i would be very cautious casue the open spots now will be alot thinner than the rest of the lake.

    has that lake rebounded at all since they drained it?

    i am not sure when the draw down was but i have been fishing out there for the last 7 years and i have nothing but success. It is really a great panfish and bass lake. The panfish enhancement program is a true success in that lake.

    i think its been less than 10 years since they did it ....all i remember was that it was horrible, it was drained right in the middle of the spawn....and people were fishing it like crazed bears. i havnt been back since. maybe ill check it out if we get good ice.
