Poffs right on 285 by the causeway. I have been going there since I was carried in in the baby carrier. Patty and her daughters are great to deal with. VERY generous with minnies and cant beat the prices. Very friendly, usually takes 25+ mins for me to get bait because I stand there and talk.

The worst day hunting or fishing will always be better then the best day at school or work!

i like russ from gateway. gives you the best, up to date info from weekend to weekend etc. he is also very fair with the minnie count. however, i am not that crazy about MOST of the other employees. not very knowledgeable, minnie count can be terrible at times.

It's closed right now until spring, but I like the bait shop at the marina on the south end much better than Richter's. He's cheaper than Dave and he doesn't count the minnies.

No doubt Russ at Gateway is the best baitshop at Pymie.  Minnow count is generous, wealth of knowledge.  I love the way its set up inside.  Reminds me of bait shops from years ago.  Just a suggestion to all who frequent local shops....Don't expect to get info from the owners unless you spend some money at the shops first.  Its only right.  Help the local shops!

What about the double yoked eggs?

Men and fish are alike. They both get into trouble when they open their mouths.

Been to espyville outdoors a few times and the guy was a great help. Before that it's always been Poffs....she's open early, has a good selection, and usually has good conversation.
