Nope, they're on time, Dime. I asked to be sent a few days before and you are. Not gonna be a fly Nazi, anyway.
Look forward to seeing your efforts.

OK- Sent.
I added some extra materials. I recently got a gross of blue dunish Angora Bunny Fur at the farm show, also sending along some Black Sheep Wool with a brown seam where it was close to the sheep. Very nice stuff. Some thread, wire, other stuff I don't use much or my friend who is a commercial tyer gives me I need to pass on since my tying around home is not conducive to lots of crazy patterns.
Enjoy, share with the others, or whatever. I think the box will fit in a mail box.
I hope she threw some funds in the box- told her to. If not I'll forward it to you...

Thanks, Salmo, I'll divvy some out. I'll send you some horsetail. it makes a neat segmendted abdomen- much easier than quill bodies. That's all folks, just waitin' on the mail. No lame azz's that drug their feet and offered up a month of excuses....

Come to think of it, I drug my feet and I could give you a months worth of excuses...but on the other hand; you'll have the flies tomorrow

Charlie and all, great job... I have seen some of these go to **** before from people not sending... good to know they're all in. Looking forward to seeing what's in store...

I feel like a kid before Christmas, anxious to see what everyone has tied. A note of thanks to Fichy for having the patience and time to bring this all together. If ever we meet I'll buy you the drink of your choice.

All present and accounted for.    pics, sorting, and mailing and I hope to have them out no later than mid-week. some of them may be hitting the water very soon.  Thanks to everyone!

By the way, Salmo sent some amazing grab bag.WAY beyond the call.  Shoulda been wrapped in Santa paper. Flies are excellent , too. HT's are a great addition  to an already nice selection. May I do as good  a job finishing off the swap as everyone did  getting theirs done and in.

Sometime in May, I'd like to do another swap, this time there'll be some donations involved to Project Healing Waters, (program for taking disabled vets flyfishing) . There'll be a nice prize involved. I've done these before and I can get the Orvis Company to donate  some flyboxes to send along, too. I hope this thread will be continued with fish pics and any questions about the patterns we may have . I hope some of these flies nail some teen size rainheads!!!! They have the potential.

Kudos to the entire crew of interwebbed-footed misfits and miscreants (YOU KNOW WHO U R !!!) for completing the task at hand..

Double Kudos to our illustrious, industrious, fantabulous Project Manager Fichman for GITENerDONE and going the extra mile to wrangle up the procrastinators, - as expected, (and predicted) to transfer the puppy from the in box through the out box.

Fichy - great cause for next swap, and you can count me in for May.

IFinz you gotz the connection with Orvis, I would like to ask you a big favor for possible prize selection.

Please inquire to see if Orvis still has that 10 fly sample pack (a promotion they ran a yr or so ago where you got 10 flies in a package for $9.99.

Reason I ask - I have one - unopened actually - that I used for examples of what to tie, and how to tie, and just to salivate in envy that I will never be able to tie flies that mimic absolute fly-tying perfection. (I'd take a pic and post it, but I bet the camera flash will glance off the nuclear-bomb-proof plastic wrapper that it came packaged in).

Gotta say - them little Asian fingers can do things that I can only dream about...

Later

d00d.

Package arrived with today's mail. Thanks to everyone for your participation and efforts. The extra goodies are much appreciated.
HT- Thanks for the tunes. Been busy the last three days downloading off the archive web, already filled a 8GB IPod Touch. Need to trade up to an IPod with bigger capacity. Listening to "Row Jimmy Row" from Barton Hall circa 1977 as I type, great stuff.

SWEET PACKAGE..

I can't wait to fish them.

Not too much of a fly guy here- is a process - butt last Summer in the UFZ was flailing away and changing flys regularly one day and I put on a dark colored large Spey Fly.
As luck would have it while I was standing there talkin to a guy with my line at rest straight downstream I had a great hit---and miss- cause the rod was tucked under my arm. Gotta laugh - I did.
Anyhoo I hung the fly at my feet for a bit and watched a buncha little bait fishes come up and nip it and hang around- did this a few times then changed flys a coupla times and no other fly caused the bait fish to come around at all.
Will somebody who knows whats up tell me bout the Spey Flys please--or did I already find out for myself ??-

BTW-that particular two tone brown fly kinda looked like a long leach or something undulating in the slow current by the wire even when I just held it in one place.
