Time to put them away

Usually long before now the plugrods are put away, this years lack of winter has allowed for some extended plugging time. Today might have been the end, 2 strikes and 2 landed, first at the end of frasiers run, last at top of the roothole. Thought it would be a perfect day warm, sunny, low wind, good water but not the case. Saw alot of fish on at the launch in the fly zone and below the bridge and thought we are gonna spank them, not alot of boats but alot of shore anglers, schoolhouse had 20 people in it at 8am. All of the fish I saw landed were on beads and small flies under floats, weather looks good but with the lack of snow to melt I believe it will be 335 or lower by the end of the week. On another note saw one guy with a coho on a stringer in the muscrat and saw a guy dragging 3 on a stringer at tail of bovines, pulled over above trestle saw probably 4 more along the bank and down in the root hole a couple along the bank in the very flat water. Latest Ive seen salmon was december these were not fresh by any means but not dead eithor. Tight lines.

3fan if the cover is off the matt.the may be using a trick they used in the 70s.they sink it with blocks leave it a few days pull it in and collect a ton of gear snagged up in it.sink and repeat they usualy do it in high or deep.there is usualy a rope burried and tied to something.or they might just be dirtbags as you said!

3 fan, at least you got a few. Glad you got some extra time in on the plugs- It's obvious you like fishing them and they work!  Thanks for the report. A holes  with the mattress should be put down there with the blocks. Let the coroner get some free gear.

that was a crappy deal I found a few times on back yard tribs years ago.. have not seen it done in many years..

    P.S.
    Great report 3 fan, sorry..
It's nice to hear from all forms of fishers .. I have not ran a #30 hot shot in about 20 years or when Buzz Ramsey was king.... But they were KILLER, even of a side planer from shore..
