Shenango

Has anyone been fishing the outflow of the dam. If so has anyone been doing any good?

Riding across the causeway, i didn't see any activity there either. I took a couple pics of the ice. It looked great that day but it really was thin. This was on the day that the warmup started.

Quad the last i knew they had all 7 gates open 1.5 feet so the river is going to a little high. That may deter people from fishing there but the fish will still be there you just have to find a spot to be able to fish from shore as wading, in my opinion may be a little too dangerous. There are still plenty of areas to fish though

I just fished it today. 7 gates but not bad for wading except for the water temp. I was the only person there and felt comfortable with the water.
No fish to show for the day. I'll post up some pics from today when I get home

Whats with all the birds? I went there last year in the winter and there were TONS of dead shad, it was down by the bridge though, maybe more dying shad by the dam?

I am going to try to make it up there this saturday. I called today and they had 1-6 open to 1.5 which is down alittle. We usually make it when its 1-7 and 1.5 but no more than that it seems to be better the higher the water is. Hope to have some pics of nice fish.

does anyone know if the dam is fishable right now. Is the water any higher or faster than when its at 7 gates at 1.5 feet not sure of the KCFS at that time.
