Flies for sale
I am going to start my own fly tying business and I need to get my name out there so I am going to post on here so you guys will know and if you know anyone else that fly fishes and isn't on here spread the word

I am prepared to tie for long periods of time I like doing it and I fish a stream where large creek chubs and trout compete for food so when I post the pics it will be trout and creek chubs and do you have to have a federal license just to sell flies

its like any other biz... you need to pay taxes
but i think that there are exemptions on non-trout flies... so you might be OK not pay taxes on those flies
(or if you just market everything as "creek chub flies")... but you didn't hear that from me

Your best bet is to farm out the actual tying of the flies to an Asian sweat shop. Those kids have nimble little fingers, can work 18 hours a day, and rarely complain. $1 a day should do it. Save yourself a lot of hastle and just say they were hand-tied by you...

No, its not free. You need to start your own business first, which you cannot do because you are 15, let alone understand excise tax. Post some pictures of your flies.

Get a paper route, mow lawns, shovel snow, bus tables, wash dishes at the local restaurant. All these jobs pay better. Like mentioned before, post some of your flies. We would like to see them and i'm sure a lot of members would offer tips, constructive criticism.

I am in school retards and I can probably tie flies better than any of you so I don't need your " constructive criticism " and I am not doing I paper route I am tying flies because thats what I like to do I don't like to give out papers

Alright sorry guys i didn't start yet and I don't have 5/0 hooks I only have size 4 saltwater and I only tie green and white and I don't do 22 BWOs yet I do great wolly buggers and pheasant tail nymphs and other nymphs I can do other drys probably too

No need to call people names.. People on here have children that are mentally ill and it's just disrespectful. You want to start a business at age 15 and try to make some money I think that's awesome. Couple guys already want you to tie some flies for them learn how to tie them and get it done..
