Yes , walleyes are there , but I've never fished Raccoon at all . For more info , punch in Raccoon Stae Park / PA . It's a start for some general info .
As a generality , fishing for 'eyes near dusk or dawn is productive . If you want to keep it simple , a jig / minnow combo jigged on the bottom is good . Try relatively small ones 2-4" or larger ones 4-7" . Also do the same thing , except on a slip sinker rig with a soft bodied jig and let it sit there or reel in slowly after casting out a bit . Sure , you'll probably get snags , but that's also where the fish are . Minnows under a float fished within a few feet off the bottom is also productive . If you want to use a lure , some type of blade bait 1-3" is good with /without being tipped with bait . There are so many ways to catch 'eyes , but these methods will get you started and are productive anywhere . Good Luck ! Hope this helps .
