2012 ICE FISHING TOURNEYS

Conneaut Lake tourney, Sat., Feb. 4th
Canadohta Lake tourney, Sat., Feb. 11

ONE day only tournaments. Start time 7am - 4pm
Ticket price is $15. Cash prizes awarded for longest fish in each category of Musky, Northern Pike, Walleye, Crappie and Perch.  50/50 drawing.   Please call Jerry if you have any questions or wish to be put on the mailing list for 2012 Tourney 814-694-FISH(3474) or 814-882-8369 (Cell).

    Jerry, my daughter gave me permission to go to the 2nd one without her this year... it's her 12th b.day and she wants to spend it shopping with her Mom.  YEAH!!!!!  Can't FRIKIN' WAIT! 

    PLEASE keep us updated as far as any ice conditions.  I won't hesitate to fish your "dead sea" outside of the tourneys.  PI Bay won't be fishable for a LONG time.

    If I remember right they have a separate thing for kids but biggest fish is the winner kid or not.

    not sure the details for the kids stuff. i just put the post up for him as i do every year to help promote the events. If you have questions you can direct them to Jerry. I can say that the events are a blast and fun for all ages.

    After speaking to Jerry i would like to announce a few rule changes he is making this year.

    This year you can set up your huts, drill tip-up holes, use cameras and flashers prior to 7am but you are not allowed to place any fishing devices in the water before 7am! if you are caught setting or having lines set before 7am will be disqualified, forfeit your entry, and be banned from future events.

    This is in response to the musky that was hooked at 6:45am but not brought up to the hole till 7:02am last year on Conneaut Lake, Witnessed by five others and myself. I watched the flag pop and brought it to the attention of the anglers that it was too early to count and they said "the hook would be clear to his A## by then" but still they waited till 7am to bring it up. that fish was beat later that day anyway. karma baby!

    That is a fair rule I believe. And anybody that would let a fish run for 15min should be ashamed of themselves.

    I agree with that.  Amazing how ethics can go right out the window, for some people, when money is involved.
