BURBOT FISHING
OK Burbot 1 me 0 . Tried for the elusive Burbot this weekend with no success. I still want to catch a Burbot.....just because. I will try again soon. Thanks for all the fishing tips on the forum. To the other Burbot fisherman on Saturday, how did you do Saturday night?

yep, I struck out too! I tried Thursday night, the wind was whipping like it was hoping to push me clean in the lake. burbot 1 me 0 :). by the way? are burbot light biters??- its POSSIBLE that something nibbled on a minnow or two. between the wind and the heavy sinker I don't think I would've felt it.

I tried Sat. night with no results. Had some good sized minnows too but alas, nothing. Might try again this weekend. Anyone ever caught them on salted minnows? I salted our leftovers and have some pretty good sized ones.

Maybe put a small piece of packing peanut in a salted one and try it off the bottom while you use a live one on another rod....Don't these things live on the bottom?

Hammerhandle, only mudpuppies on Saturday but got a small one the other night need some colder consistent weather, just make sure you have plenty of weight on your line

Tried tonight (Monday 26th) with no luck. About 12 guys out and 1 fish caught. Maybe next time. Coudnt even wrangle up a mud dog or nothing. Current was swift at times. My 6oz pyramid was rolling around....

Got a 35 inch berb today 12/31 about 2 pm. used a crappy rig with minnows stacked up on the hooks

Thanks td99 I will need some on the pics thing. Was a 360 from Fri. Just saw a guy that had landed a lawnchair and 1 perch, I didn't even get a bite neither did my co-worker who came along for the duration, nice day though.

LIAR  point 1. In these neck of the woods its a "squatch" point B. Abigale is now comfortably housed up in her stable  point 3C You will never ride her  Now back on topic Burpits. I have yet to catch one and would like to see them there pics.
