Larry Rich

I know some of you guys know Larry from the club and fiqured I'd pass this along. Last night we got a call that his "wife" and him were in an accident yesterday in FL, she was killed and he's in bad shape. How bad, don't know yet. I seen a picture of the van and its a mess. Guess they were on I-75 and someone tried to pass them, ended up clipping them and they rolled.

Never a good thing, esspecially this time of the year.

On a good note, he left a message yesterday morning saying he finaly hooked a Tarpon on the fly rod. Hell of a price to pay!

No. I'm not sure if Larry ever posted on here. Those of you who attended the Big Run banquets, Larry is the guy who "MC'd".

    Very sad news.
My prayers go out to him, his wife Ruth and his family.

Makes me realize it is not the fishing but the freinds I make, the conversations on the streams, and the stories told of past trips, that matter most.

Talked to Larry Xmas eve, he's doing as good as good can be. His pelvis was seperated/split in the front by 2" and cracked in the back by 3". Lots of pins, plates, pain, and such. Said he figures to be in the hospital for 6 weeks rehabing, then some more at a friends for a bit. He's hoping to be back up sometime near the end of March. I think it might be wishful thinking though? A service for Ruthie will be held later for family and close friends later.

Always terrible talking to someone after something like that has happened. YOu never know what to say?
