      Thanks guys,

It came from 1-A, local deer. Kevin, that's the first thing I said when I just saw the photo now. Had a deer beard going since Thanksgivin' & didn't bathe since then. Figured I'd go all out this yr. Looked in the mirror yesterday & said this gotta go (Gray Beard), not the shower just yet though, must ov been all the aftershave I splashed all over my face before i headed out for the hunt????

Just glad to get some meat in the freezer, since the boys haven't shot at a Doe yet & have been passing on some legal  bucks so far. Don't know the spread but Timmy took measurements. He was so excited (thought he was gonna sleep with it or somethin' ) & I told him can't eat the antlers. He wants me to get it mounted but I'm not sure yet.

Thought I made a good shot but backed out & went home & waited for the boys to get in. Went back & it only went 'bout 7 yrds. & laid. 'Bout a 220 yrd. shot & only had around 5 sec. to try the shot before it was in safe cover, so a little luck never hurts. Now time for a nice hot long shower Should make the old lady happy

     Thanks,
      crappy

Congrats, beautiful animal! Definitely a wall hanger, if not for you at least to pass along, you may never see another that size...

Great buck. It looks like mine would almost fit inside and I was plenty happy with it. There is enough room on those beams for a couple more points. If you don't want to spring for a shoulder mount that would make a great looking European mount for less than a third the cost.

Timmy scored it at 158.25" Gross & 153.75" net, whatever that means?? The old ladie talked me into gettin' a shoulder mount to pass on to the boys. The price was $250 less than what Timmy payed last yr. down the rd. a little further. In the bottom photo you can see a wound near the spine above the shoulder. When I caped it out today looks like a archer stuck it with a broadhead. Can't believe it wasn't paralyzed. I'll dig it out & see what I find.

Where did you take it to get mounted? Just FYI, I have been taking mine to Fred Buxton in Hunker and he is one of the most reasonable around and does decent work. Not sure exactly what area you are in but it is only a few miles off the Waltz Mill exit of I-70.

Can't see the pic at work but if it scores what you have posted, awesome buck. Congrats!

     Donnie,

You gonna make it down around  Mothers Day for some BigByrd fishin' again?? Timmy was after 3 that were larger than the one I got I'm sure he will put some hrs. in late archery for 'em. The one big 10 he was after got shot the first evening 75 yrds. from Gregs stand. Miss ya !

    E&G's,

Took it to Jeff Lindy, $370 plus he will fix the area where a broadhead decayed/infected a 4"x4" of Hyde at no extra cost. Moraine State Park area.

    Thanks
