Warren, CO Eyes - 11/25/11

Hunting yesterday didn't go so well but we at least made it out fishing on Friday and did ok. I got my limit and my brother added one legal to the mix. Size ranged from 15.75" to 22".

Hope the pic shows up...

I liked it. My cousin had the winter sampler case from them. I liked all of it enough that I'll be running out and picking up a case for myself for the holidays.

This was good too...Fireside Nut Brown

The honey weiss was ok but a little too sweet. I wouldn't be able to drink much of that one.

I agree. I like the Fireside Nut Brown, too... I can't understand why they include the Honey Weiss in the winter sampler. It seems more like a summer beer to me....

I normally like the nut brown ales...that would be my first choice. I don't believe I've had a Leinie flavor that I didn't like at least a little bit.

My big eye came from west of Warren, they are starting to feed up with the cooler water temps.

yeah, yeah, yeah...you can suck it...

Been out down that way at all? Since I can't seem to get a deer in range, I am waiting for the rivers to come down a little to try and catch a few out there...

Hit Conneaut Lake over Thanksgiving and managed 5 pike. The biggest being 30". I had to use the trolling motor only as my throttle cable broke. Been catching some stripers down here right near work all between 18"-28". Had one break my line and take one of my musky lures last week. Thought I had an average size fish then all of the sudden my rod bent in half. Looking forward to getting out somewhere this weekend. I'm going to try to hold out putting the boat away until it snows twice!

I never have but would like to one of these winters. I would like to also ice fish Canadohta again sometime. If I recall, the last time I ice fished Canadohta the temperature read -4 when we got out of the car. We watched the temperature drop and drop and drop as we drove to the lake from the Mckeesport/Pittsburgh area.

    Mike,
If that was the time I was with you, it was actually -16 when we got to the lake.

I ice fish conneaut lake with very good success on pike. got a great strategy for musky this year. I've isolated a few choke points to put a big spread on... hit me up for some weekend fishing... im fully equipped... gps, fish finder, camera, tip ups, rods... i could always use 5 more huge creek chubs dangling for a hungry critter to eat... dangle chubs lol....

I hope to get up to Canadohta or Conneaut this winter. Long trip for me now though. I'll make sure to contact you if I make it up that way again.

Eyesandgillz - Wow! It was -16 that day. ****, we needed a shack. LOL
