Saturday's Catch

Went to a local lake yesterday. It was a little cold and a windy, but it wasn't too bad of a day.

That's a fantastic looking cooler of fish. I'd love to fry up some of them, sit down and watch a good game on tv, and get my grub on. Nice catch.

The fish fry is tonight. As far as the bait comments go, if those are bait, then.... "Bait Tastes Great!"

I was up at pyme Saturday. Nobody around, I had the lake to myself. The fish were hitting just as good as the summer time.

By the time you get it cleaned and filleted, you're have more meat from the perch, gills, and crappies. Not to mention better eating.

I've heard up north they leave the bones in, grind em up and make burgers out of em. Personally I'd just let it go. Not too many of those round these parts.

You can't fish Pyme without catching them. If you catch a 40 incher, you get a nice slab of meat about 36 inches, but you have to cut it in half length wise to to cut a way from the bones. All in All, not bad eating, but a lot of wasted fish.

Thanks, I got her on a floating rapala no 9. I usually don't post pics but its rare to get one this size, for me anyway.
