What I did'nt know

Hey Everybody, My name is Ryan and I'm new.

I got to go steelhead fishing with Deetz and Slickfish last week. I had never been steelhead fishing before, and I found out much I didn't know about fishing.

I learned wading streams in rubber boots is hard.
I learned fighting large fish takes some technique.
I learned what a seam is.
I learned about egg sacs.
I learned I like noodle rods.
I learned to keep my hands on the cork.
I learned how to bleed a fish (lol)
I learned my 10lb fish weighed 20 by the time I got to the car.

This was my first steelhead and by far my biggest fish ever. She's headed for the smoker! Thanks alot to Deetz and Slickfish for taking/helping me. I can't wait to go again.

Sorry, I'm new.

Sweet. I never met them, but from their reps on here you got to learn from a couple of the best. Particularly on how that fish got bigger with each step toward the car.

I'm sure ya had a great time. Congrats on the hookup. And like Bings said - watch the sips. That's something I try hard to never partake in.........

He lost his first fish....and I thought he was gonna cry, or puke...or cry puke. After he settled down he admitted to me and Deetz that mentally...he had that sucker in a smoker. He admitted he was lickin' his lips every time it neared the bank.

Ryan did an absolutely fantastic job. He followed instructions to the letter, and his concentration was super-intense.

    He's hooked.

    Thanks Deetz....your a good duud.

Paul....I was bringin that kid with me Sat....I woke up super sick duud...he was super dissapointed.

    "cry puke"?

Slickfish that sounds pretty intense. Almost like when one would get the 24 hr bug and have it coming out both ends.
